Business energy quotes
Free business electricity and gas quotes from an independent consultant. Fill in the form, keep a recent bill handy, and a consultant will come back with quotes from suppliers on their panel.
- Free, with no obligation
- Electricity, gas, or both
- One consultant, not a flood of calls
What you need for an accurate quote
- Your business name and supply address.
- Your meter numbers. The MPAN for electricity and MPRN for gas, both on your bill.
- Your yearly usage in kWh, or a recent bill so the consultant can work it out.
- Your current contract end date, so the new contract starts as the old one ends.
- Any special needs, such as half-hourly metering, several sites or a green tariff.
With those, a consultant can get prices from suppliers rather than estimates.
What happens after you ask
A consultant contacts you, checks your details and goes to the suppliers they work with. You get quotes showing the unit rate, standing charge and contract length. If you accept one, the consultant handles the paperwork with the new supplier. If you do not, you owe nothing. How to compare the quotes you get.
Questions businesses ask
What do I need to get a business energy quote?
Your business name and address, the meter numbers (MPAN for electricity, MPRN for gas) from a recent bill, roughly how much energy you use a year, and when your current contract ends.
Where do I find my MPAN and MPRN?
On your energy bill. The MPAN is the long electricity supply number, often shown in a box starting with S. The MPRN is the gas meter point reference, usually six to ten digits.
How long is a business energy quote valid?
Often only a short time, sometimes a day or two, because business prices follow the wholesale market. That is why it pays to have your details ready before you ask.
Will getting a quote affect my credit score?
Suppliers usually run a credit check on the business before offering a contract. Asking a broker for indicative quotes does not commit you to anything.
