What we collect

When you ask for quotes we collect your business name, your name, phone number, email address, business postcode, which fuels you want quotes for, your rough yearly spend and when your contract ends. We also record the time of your request and your IP address, so we can show when and how you agreed to be contacted.

What we do with it

We pass your details to one independent business energy broker, so they can contact you about business energy quotes. That is the only reason we collect them. The broker becomes responsible for your details once they have them and will tell you how they use them when they contact you.

We do not sell your details, add them to marketing lists, or pass them to anyone else. The legal basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form.

How long we keep it

We keep a record of your request for up to 12 months, so we can answer questions about it, then delete it.

Your rights

You can ask to see the details we hold about you, to have them corrected or deleted, or withdraw your consent at any time, by emailing hello@businessenergyconsultant.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
